Anzhi may sign Ganso from Santos

Santos midfielder Ganso has become a transfer target for Anzhi Makhachkala. The Russian club are reportedly ready to offer €40 million, according to Brazilian website Lance!.

The Russian club can offer the 21-year-old player a five-year contract with a salary of €7 million prt year.

According to another Brazilian source, Globoesporte, the amount which Anzhi are ready to pay for the transfer of Ganso can even reach €50 million. In this case the consent of the Brazilian club to the transfer won’t be required, as this amount is provided by Ganso’s contract and allows the player to leave Santos unilaterally. The Russian club would only need to persuade the player to move to Russia.

The high amount of this compensation is believed to be the reason that Ganso has not moved to a European club until now, despite his big desire to try himself abroad.

The player himself would prefer a move to Milan, whose representatives are also in contact with him, but may accept Anzhi’s offer in case the financial conditions are improved.

If the transaction takes place, Santos will receive only 45 percent of the €50 million amount. Another 45 percent will go to DIS company, who own a part of the rights to Ganso, and the remaining 10 percent will go to the player himself.
