Leandro Fernandes: I never expected to stay in Russia longer than two years

Argentinean centre back Leandro Fernandes explained how he ended up spending six years at Dynamo Moscow, after planning to stay in Russia for a couple of years.

«I used to dream about playing in Italy or Spain. I thought the style of those leagues would suit me. When I arrived in Moscow, I didn’t expect to stay here longer than two years,» the former River Plate defender admitted, speaking on Russian television.

«But I soon realised that nothing is as I expected here. So I stayed. I am happy with my life in Moscow, you can always find something to do here, given that you have some time off,» the Argentine admitted.
