Spartak Moscow view Standard’s Steven Defour as alternative to Ajax’s Demy de Zeeuw

Representatives of Spartak Moscow are said to be planning a visit to Euro-2012 qualifying match between Belgium and Turkey in order to watch Standard Liege and Belgium national team halfback Steven Defour, according to Voetbalkrant.

The Russian club is reportedly considering the 23-year-old Defour as an alternative for Ajax midfielder Demy de Zeeuw if the latter refuses a move to Moscow.

Defour’s current contract with Standard is effective until 2016.
