Lokomotiv will take part in the KHL season, two options considered now

At the meeting between the KHL executives management and Sergey Vakhrukov, Governor of the Yaroslavl Oblast, it was decided that Lokomotiv hockey team will continue its performances in this season’s Kontinental Hockey League, RIA Novosti reported.

According to the publication, two options are being considered now about how the team should be formed. The first idea is that Lokomotiv will continue to play with its youth squad. The second is to have five players of Lokomotiv youth plus the players from other KHL clubs.

As of now, more than 30 players playing in other KHL teams have expressed their willingness to move to Yaroslavl for this season. These are mostly former Lokomotiv players and natives of Yaroslavl.
