Ethics committee to investigate Spartak striker Emenike’s gesture

The Russian FA Ethics Committee is set to open an investigation of the incident, which took place during the Moscow derby between Spartak and Dynamo, when the Nigerian striker Emenike made an offensive gesture towards the Dynamo fans.

According to the FA statement, the striker showed blatant disregard to the league’s «Code of Honour» and it will be discussed at the committee’s next meeting. They will also look into the allegations of racism and xenophobia displayed by the home fans during the clash.
