Sandor Varga: Wenger told me he still values Arshavin

Reputed football agent Sandor Varga claims Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger told him in private that he still considers Andrey Arshavin, who was recently loaned to Zenit, a valuable player.

«For me Arshavin’s return to St. Petersburg was a big surprise,» the agent admitted in an interview to Sport Weekend.

«I recently spoke to Wenger, and he told me he values Arshavin, has no complaints about his game and wants to keep him at Arsenal. I said myself on several occasions that Arshavin will only leave London if he wants to. I guess that moment has arrived,» he explained.
