Preliminary agreement on Povetkin vs. Boswell fight reached

According to BoxingScene.com, a verbal agreement was reached to hold a bout between the WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (22-0, 15KOs) and the NABA title holder, 42-year-old Cedric Boswell from the USA (35-1, 26KOs), who is currently 14th in the WBA ranking.

Negotiations were also held with ex-champion Hasim Rahman, but he didn’t agree to the fee offered by Povetkin’s promoters, Sauerland Events.
