Anzhi admit holding negotiations on Porto’s Hulk, but deny offering €87m for transfer

The general director of Anzhi Makhachkala German Chistyakov has commented on the reports about the failed transfer of the FC Porto striker Hulk to the Russian club.

«It’s true we have been negotiating with Porto, but the negotiations were closed 15 days before the transfer window closed. With regard to the sums named in the media, I can say we’ve never made such an offer. These figures are not just an inaccurate suggestion, they have nothing to do with the real football market,» Chistyakov said as quoted by Anzhi press service.

According to yesterday’s reports, Anzhi have been offering FC Porto €87 million for Hulk, but the transfer didn’t take place as the Portuguese club refused to sell their forward for less than €90 million. Anzhi reportedly might resume negotiations on the acquisition of the Brazilian in the winter.
