Twente’s Marc Janko refuses offer from Anzhi

28-year-old Austria and Twente forward Marc Janko will not play for Anzhi Makhachkala.

«Marc does not intend to live in Russia and is not going to move away from Twente,» stated his agent Georg Stangassinger as quoted by De Telegraaf.

Stangassinger had a meeting with the directors of the Russian club concerning possible transfer of Janko during Anzhi’s training camp in Austria this July. Anzhi have reportedly offered €8 million for the player, who signed a four-year contract with Twente last year.

During the past season Janko has played 29 matches in the Eredivisie, having scored 14 goals.
