The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed left winger Nikita Filatov to a three-year entry level contract.
Filatov, 18, was the sixth overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He scored 32 goals and added 34 assists for 66 points with 90 penalty minutes in 34 games with CSKA of the Russian Junior League during the 2007-08 season. He also saw action in five games with CSKA′s Russian Elite League team and represented Russia at the 2008 World Junior Championships.
«We are very pleased that Nikita has made a strong commitment to play in North America as soon as possible," said Blue Jackets general manager Scott Howson. «He is a dynamic, talented player with outstanding offensive instincts. We look forward to seeing him in training camp this fall."
The Moscow, Russia native recorded 3-6-9 with 29 penalty minutes and had a +1 plus/minus rating in six games during the 2008 World Under-18 Championships as Russia took the silver medal. He was named to the tournament′s All-Star Team as he led his team in assists and points. In the 2007 World Under-18 Championships, he tallied 4-5-9 with six penalty minutes and was +4 in seven games to help Russia claim the gold medal.

Тут все начиналось с про вес и мышечную массую Так вот у Тихонова-младшего вес 76 кг (как у Филатова), но он рассчитывает попасть в основной состав Койотов. И никто как-то не критикует особо и КХЛ не печалится, де все ОК. А директор Северстали (на сайте можно найти) утверждает что контракта у него нет вообще, но все права на него (в России) у Северстали. А это как? Некое российское новшество?
Я Тихонову желаю полного упеха как и Филатову, но почуствуйте разницу...
Какие-то права без контракта, какие-то контракты неперерегистрированные, но действующе с уволенными игроками, плюс еще правило лимитчиков для молодых - да отсюда как-то сразу хочется ... и подальше.
