According to the information that became available to Sports.ru, Welshman Paul Pook and Englishman Phil Keith-Roach will work with the Russian national rugby team. The latter, however, has not been introduced to the team yet, but is expected to get to work right ahead of the Churchill Cup matches.
Paul Pook, best known for his work with Wales and Ireland national teams, has replaced Australian Nigel Ashley-Jones as strength and conditioning coach.
Phil Keith-Roach, an experienced specialist, who has been employed at England national team, as well as clubs like London Wasps and Sale Sharks, will train forwards and scrum.
The team will also get an English video analysis manager who will replace the Australian Adam Grainger.
It’s worth noting that the Russian national team also has Welshman Kingsley Jones and Englishman Henry Paul in its coaching staff.
