Nabokov will not play at 2011 World Championship any more

Russian national team goalkeeper Yevgeni Nabokov, who sustained an injury during the qualifying stage game against Denmark (4:3), will not be able to play at the 2011 World Championship any more.

«His injury will not allow him to continue his performances at the World Championship. Nabokov will be able to start moderate training only in a week. On Saturday we will add Vasily Koshechkin to our roster. In the end, we cann’t face Czechs with one goalkeeper,» stated the senior coach of the Russian national team Igor Zakharkin according to Sovetsky Sport.

According to the edition’s sources, Nabokov has a groin strain.
