Colorado’s Varlamov not happy with his performances

Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov has commented on his performance and his competition with Jean-Sebastien Giguere.

«I’m not happy with my performance so far. My statistics aren’t brilliant. I can definitely do better. Giguere and I play in turns and try to give the team a chance in every game. The coaches make their choice depending on our condition at the moment. I think they are right. If I’m doing better, I’ll play. The same for Giguere.

«Actually, all NHL teams work on defense, first of all. You can’t win a match without good defending. You can’t win trophies with offensive play only,» Varlamov said as quoted by Sport-Express.
