Malkin misses games against Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Yevgeny Malkin will miss the next matches of his team, according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Malkin did travel with the team to games Winnipeg and won’t go to Minnesota. The Russian still hasn’t recovered from recurring soreness in his surgically repaired right knee. Malkin has already missed three of the past four games. Yevgeny is likely to play against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.

The others who didn’t travel are Sidney Crosby (concussion), Brooks Orpik (abdomen) and Dustin Jeffrey (knee).
