SKA sign Kirill Koltsov from Salavat Yulaev, release Maxim Sushinsky
SKA St. Petersburg have signed a three-year contract with Salavat Yulaev defender Kirill Koltsov, the official website of the club reported.
Last season Koltsov scored 29 (6+23) points with a plus/minus statistics of «+22» in 50 matches of the regular championship and 11 (2+9) points with a plus/minus statistics of «+8» in 21 game of the Gagarin Cup. Koltsov was also included into the KHL Team of the Tournament following the results of the last season.
In addition to that SKA have put their forward Maxim Sushinsky on transfer. As the club’s general manager Alexei Kasatonov explained, this decision goes in line with SKA’s desire to rejuvenate the squad. Earlier it was announced that another 37-year-old veteran, Alexei Yashin will not have his contract renewed.
Last season Sushinsky played 50 regular matches scoring 39 (16+23) points, as well as 11 play-off games scoring 2 goals and making 7 assists.
