«Газпром» разрешил «Зениту» начать переговоры с Кержаковым
Глава генерального спонсора «Зенита» «Газпрома» Алексей Миллер дал добро на проведение переговоров с нападающим «Динамо» Александром Кержаковым, выступавшим за питерский клуб с 2001-го по 2006 год.
Контракт с «Динамо» у Кержакова истекает через год, а продлевать его он недавно отказался. Таким образом, чтобы не отпускать футболиста бесплатно через 12 месяцев, его могут продать грядущей зимой.
Кержаков не раз замечал в интервью, что приглашение из родного города он непременно рассмотрел бы. Известно также, что в «Динамо» не заинтересованы в расставании с нападающим и предпринимают попытки сохранить его в составе. Окончательно ситуация должна проясниться сразу после окончания сезона.
Предполагается, что в случае продажи Кержакова «Зениту» стоимость трансфера составит около восьми миллионов евро: именно за столько бело-голубые перед началом сезона-2008 приобрели бомбардира у «Севильи», сообщает «Спорт-Экспресс».

Arrests made in €10m match-fixing probe

At least 200 European football games are under investigation after police said they had dismantled an alleged international criminal ring suspected of running the continent’s biggest ever match-fixing scandal.
German prosecutors and police said on Friday the gang allegedly obtained more than €10m ($15m) in illegal betting proceeds by manipulating the outcome of games in nine countries, including three matches in the European Champions League.
“This is without a doubt the biggest fraud scandal to ever hit European football,” said Peter Limacher of the Union of European Football Associations. “We are deeply shocked.”
The investigation could affect the outcome of the current Champions League competition since all the games under investigation took place this year.
Andreas Bachmann, head of the police team in the German city of Bochum leading the investigation, said the estimated criminal proceeds, number of games involved and the circle of suspects could increase over the coming weeks. “This is just the tip of the iceberg,” he said.
Fifteen suspects were arrested in Germany on Thursday. Ante Sapina, 33, a Berlin resident, was in protective custody, his lawyer said. Two suspects were arrested in Switzerland. Police in six German states, Switzerland, Austria and London conducted 50 raids and secured €1m in cash. Those detained are suspected of offering payments to players, coaches, referees and officials from football leagues in exchange for influencing the outcome of games on which ring members had placed bets.
