Guus Hiddink: It is possible that soon Anzhi will be spending half the year in Makhachkala
Anzhi boss Guus Hiddink expressed his views on the clubs future plans and suggested the team may well leave Moscow to stay in Makhachkala through the season.
«Anzhi doesn’t just want to be among the Russian elite, we want to develop football across the whole region. That is why my job involves working closely with the youth academy,» said the Dutch manager.
«This regions is growing and developing at a fast rate, so it’s great to be involved. We are currently based in Moscow, but that is circumstantial, there is no way around it yet. We are developing the infrastructure and I am sure that soon it will be possible for Anzhi to stay in Makhachkala for six months of a year. It’s realistic,» Hiddink added, speaking to Russian TV station Rossiya-2.
