We watched some matches of the Russian team and now we’re very content with the result that the Russian team has already gained the opportunity to participate in the 2009 WGP ^_*

Zhou Suhong (No.7 of the Chinese team) played well in today’s match. Her husband is a former wonderful volleyball player of the Chinese men’s national team. Last year, the team was invited to play some friendly matches in Russia. But unfortunately, he was once seriously injured in training. He was then sent back to China. When he woke up, he found that he could not stand up, not to mention to continue his volleyball career. Doctors say: “Perhaps he will be paralyzed for all his rest life.” He is only 26 years old. Up till now, he was still in hospital. Before the Olympic games, he said to Zhou Suhong: “I can’t guarantee to you that I can stand up one day. But I can guarantee to you that I will keep doing my recovering training everyday.” That’s why Zhou Suhong says: “My Olympic belongs to two persons.” She wants to realize her dream as well as the dream of her husband. And today, she got a victory.

Lyuba, do you remember the day you got qualified for the Olympic games after a tough match against Poland with a 3:2?
I still keep your photos of that day in my computer. You were so happy to get the “super big Olympic Ticket” and held it up high with your teammates, you left your autographs on a T-shirt and you cheered together with champagne… How I wish the time stopped at that exciting moment!
It was a hard but satisfying beginning. I believe that our Russian girls won’t waste this great opportunity gained by all your efforts. No matter who the opponents could be, I’m sure that you will cherish every point and fight to the end!
