IHFR president Vladislav Tretiak commented on the recent release of the Vityaz coach Andrei Nazarov from his duties in the Russia national team.
«It was a joint decision of the federation and the coaching team. To be brief, according to this decision Nazarov will not be among the coaching staff of the national team any longer. Bilyaletdinov’s assistants in the World Cup will be Belov, Yushkevich, Nikitin and Myshkin,» the federation chief told Sport-Express.
Earlier Nazarov admitted in an interview that he was informed of his sacking from the team by head coach Zinetulla Bilyaletdinov. Some have speculated that his dismissal was linked to Vityaz’s style of play, as many of their games have ended in mass brawls.
