Project for the Qualification and Final Tournament of the 2030 FIFA World Cup
World Cup 2030
The tournament will be held exactly one hundred years after the first World Cup in history.
It will be hosted by three countries: Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, from June 13 to July 21.
Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will host one opening match each.
These six teams will automatically qualify for the final tournament.
The remaining 42 places in the World Cup will be contested by the remaining 205 FIFA teams.
I propose two options for the qualification of the World Cup 2030.
The first option for qualification
Scheme of the 17 qualification tournaments of the World Cup 2030
The positions of the teams (from 1st to 205th place, out of the 205 participants) are determined by the FIFA ranking (at the time of the qualification draw).
These 17 qualification tournaments will be held on the fields of the 1-17 teams in this ranking.
(For example, according to the FIFA ranking release on November 19, 2025:
France, England, Brazil, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Morocco, Italy, Colombia,USA,
Mexico, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal and Iran).
The 17 countries hosting these qualification tournaments must provide 6 fields (2 for each group).
Let's name the tournaments by number (1st World Championship qualification tournament, 2nd, 3rd, 4th..... and so on up to the 17th.
All matches of the tournament in one country are held at the same time (group rounds and 3 playoff rounds, i.e. 6 matches in the group rounds and 2-4 games in the playoff stages).
We divide 17 tournaments into 5 and get that 3 or 4 tournaments will be played in 1 day.
We divide 3 tournaments per day into 3 time slots.
The first time slot is at 15:00 GMT.
2nd--------------------------------17.30 GMT.
3rd--------------------------------20.00 GMT.
4 tournaments per day divided into 4 time slots.
1st time slot------14.00 GMT.
2nd--------------------------------16.15 GMT.
3rd--------------------------------18.30 GMT.
4th--------------------------------20.45 GMT.
It is possible to play games in the 4th time slot only on Saturdays and Sundays.
When teams are drawn for tournaments, their affiliation with the Confederations will not be taken into account.
For example, it will not matter how many teams from UEFA participate in a given tournament, whether it is 12 or none at all.
Preliminary Round: (2 teams, 1 match)
204th place in the ranking--------------205th place.
The match is played on the fields of the tournament where the 204th team was drawn.
To save time, it is recommended that the 204th team be assigned to groups 13-17 by жребий, as this allows them to play the preliminary round 5 days before the start of these groups in the tournament.
(on the 1st day, groups 1-3 play; on the 2nd day, groups 4-6 play; on the 3rd day, groups 7-9 play; on the 4th day, groups 10-13 play; and on the 5th day, groups 14-17 play).

The second option for Qualification
It is similar to the first option in terms of structure.
Therefore, we will only note the differences from the first option.
The scheme of the 14 qualifying tournaments for the 2030 World Cup
The positions of the teams (from 1st to 205th place, out of a total of 205 participants) are determined by the FIFA ranking (at the time of the Qualification draw).
Preliminary Round (74 teams, 37 pairs)
Draw
1st pot --------(132-168).
2nd pot ------ (169-205).
74 teams in 37 pairs will determine 37 teams for their further participation in 14 qualification tournaments.
The 37 winners of the pairs will receive positions 132-168.
(For example, in a match between 147 and 200 teams, the winner of the pair will definitely receive the 147th position, and they will play this preliminary match 5 days before the start of the tournament where the 147th team was drawn).

World Cup 2030
First option
When the teams are drawn into groups, their affiliation with the Confederations will not be taken into account.
For example, it will not matter how many teams from UEFA are participating in a given group, whether it is four or none.
The six teams that will host the 2030 World Cup do not have any special or significant advantages in the draw.
Their FIFA rankings were also fixed at the time of the qualification tournament draw.
We know the final rankings of the qualification tournaments (from 1st to 42nd place).
The six host teams of the World Cup are first compared in terms of their ranking positions with the teams that took the 1st final places in the qualifying tournaments.
If these six teams are ahead of any of these teams, they will move up to their positions, naturally changing the overall table.
Next, comparisons can be made with the 2nd teams (2nd places in the tournaments) and the 3rd teams.
Based on these comparisons, a new table of positions (1-48th places) is created.
48 teams are divided into 4 Conferences (12 teams in each).
Each Conference has three groups (4 teams in each).

The only condition for the 6 host teams of the World Cup is that they will be divided into four different conferences (two host teams will play in two conferences and one in each of the other two).
Criteria for classifying teams by their positions in the groups
1.)Number of points scored.
2.)Best goal difference in all group matches.

(In the playoff matches, only the results of the regular time matches are taken into account in the future.
Let's say that the Orange and Yellow teams played 3-1, but the score was 0-0 in the regular time of the match.
The result of 0-0 will be taken into account.
The winning team will only receive one point and a goal difference of 0-0).
5. Places in the group round
6. The best results in the 3 group round matches in the order of criteria 1,2,3, and 4.
7. The draw.
1/8 Final Draw
The 16 winners of the Quarter-Finals in the Conferences (1/16 Finals) play.
1st Pair---First Place in the First Conference Table------------------Fourth Place in the Second Conference.
2nd Pair---First Place in the Second Conference Table------------Fourth Place in the First Conference.
3rd Pair--Second Place in the First Conference------------------------Third Place in the Second Conference.

7th pair---Second place in the Third Conference---------------------Third place in the Fourth Conference.
8th pair---Second place in the Fourth Conference table----------Third place in the Third Conference.
The Quarterfinals Scheme:
8 winners of the 1/8 finals pairs play.
After the matches of the 1/8 finals, the teams of the First and Second Conferences (1-4 pairs in the 1/8 finals) are combined into one general results table, and the teams of the Third and Fourth Conferences are combined into another).
Thus, based on the results of the 5 matches, the teams will be ranked 1-4 in Path 1 (1st and 2nd Conferences) and Path 2 (3rd and 4th Conferences).
1st pair---First place in Path 1------------Fourth place in Path 2.
2nd pair---First place in Path 2-----------Fourth place in Path 1.
3rd pair---Second place in Path 1-------Third place in Path 2.
4th pair---Second place in Path 2--------Third place in Path 1.
Semi-finals scheme:
4 quarter-finals winners play.
After the quarter-finals, based on the results of 6 matches of teams in the World Championship, a table of semi-finals (1-4 places) is created.
1st pair--- First place in the table of Semi-finals-----------Fourth place.
2nd pair--- Second place----------------------------------------------Third place.
Match for 3rd place
2 teams that lost in the semi-finals play.
Finals
The 2 teams that won the semi-finals play.
In the 3rd place match and the final, the teams with the best records in the seven World Cup matches are considered the nominal hosts.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I offer you another scheme for the 2038 World Championship.
The draw scheme does not change.
The teams are divided into 8 groups, with 6 teams in each (groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H).
The 6 teams in each group are automatically divided into three subgroups (positions 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 in the groups).
The teams of each subgroup will play one match against each other and one match against the opponents of the 2 other conditional subgroups.
The game calendar is made by the computer.
In the last 3rd round, all 6 teams of the group will play at the same time.
The criteria for assigning teams to positions in the Conferences
1.)Positions in the group.
2.)Number of points gained.
3.)The best difference of goals scored and conceded in all group matches.
4.)The highest number of goals scored in all group matches.
