Sergey Semak: Zenit are yet to offer me a new contract
Zenit St. Petersburg veteran midfielder Sergey Semak admitted the club has not yet offered him an extension to the current deal, which expires next December.
«Do you still hope to go to Poland and the Ukraine this summer?»
«My job is to play football and only Dick Advocaat will decide, if I am worthy of a call up. If I don’t get to go, I will watch our national team matches on TV. I cannot travel to the Euros on my own as Zenit’s preseason may begin in that period.»
«You current deal expires in December. Do you expect to prolong it?»
«Naturally, I’d like to stay here at least till the end of next season. But no deal has been offered yet. At the moment I don’t see myself in coaching or beach football, for example. I’d like to try something different,» the former CSKA and Rubin player admitted.
