Lacine Traore: I haven’t encountered racism in Krasnodar

Kuban Krasnodar striker Lacine Traore discussed the issue of racism and the extent to which it is relevant in Russian football.

«Racism is not just your country’s problem, it is a pan-European, even global problem. I did have some concerns about my safety before moving to Russia, but now I am not worried. Krasnodar is a peaceful city, I am not restricted in my travels here: I can wonder about town or go into a shop or a nightclub without any problems,» claimed the Ivorian.

«Perhaps things are different in Moscow or Saint-Petersburg, but I feel comfortable here. Everyone knows me in Krasnodar and treat me really well,» the former CFR Cluj forward added, speaking to Izvestia.
