Venlo president: Nwofor may sign for CSKA in the future

VVV Veenlo president Hai Berden admitted the Nigerian forward Uche Nwofor may still move to CSKA Moscow in the future.

The Red Army were reportedly close to signing the Nigerian international last year, but the deal fell through.

«W put a lot of trust and energy into our youth academy and naturally we hope to get something in return. Nwofor is a great example, because he is growing in our club, he has a lot of talent and a lot of big sides are interested in signing him,» said the Dutch club’s boss.

«We have a good relationship with CSKA – they are aware of Nwofor, but have not yet made an attempt to sign him. It is still too early. But I wouldn’t exclude the possibility of a future multimillion deal,» Berden added.
