Spalletti extends contract with Zenit until 2015

Italian coach Luciano Spalletti has agreed to extend his contract with Zenit St. Petersburg until year 2015.

Thus the Italian manager’s new contract will keep him at the club for another three-and-a-half years. According to Zenit’s official website, under his new contract obligations the Italian will be responsible for the transfer policy as well as managing the Russian side.

The Italian manager took over the St. Petersburg club in 2009 and over the last two years he won the Russian Premier League, the Russian Cup and Supercup and managed to take the club into the Champions League play-offs for the first time in their history.
