Guus Hiddink: Anzhi are a great project, no offers from Chelsea

Guus Hiddink who recently left from his post as Turkey head coach told what he knows about Anzhi and denied the reports alleging he is in talks with Chelsea.

«I heard of Anzhi from, let’s say, the Russian inside. This is a project. I like it because there must be good football in the team, but also it’s not just football what I heard, it’s more than football. It’s nice for the region, which has lived in poverty. If through football people can do other things as well, then it’s a very beautiful project,» the Dutchman said in an interview for Russia Today.

«Have you had an offer from Chelsea?»

«No, no, no. I was contracted by the Turkish federation at the time, so there was nothing else. My relations with Roman Abramovich was and has been and will be good, very good. When I go to London I’m always welcome or at Cobham, or in the stadium. Although we don’t speak every week, but very now and then there’s a contact.»

«So what are you going to be doing now? Are you just going to take a holiday, some time off? How are going to be spending the next few months?»
