Zhirkov misses training ahead of Slovakia game, Dyadyun called up instead of Kerzhakov

Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Yury Zhirkov missed the first training session of the Russian team ahead of their Euro 2012 qualification match against Slovakia.

The 28-year-old suffered a strong blow to his leg during the match of the Russian Premier League Matchday 26 against Lokomotiv Moscow, which still pains him when running, according to Sport-Express.

Russia’s debutant forward Vladimir Dyadyun from Rubin Kazan, who had been called up to replace the injured Alexander Kerzhakov, already joined the team this morning and trained.
