Report: Juve’s Simone Pepe becomes transfer target for Zenit

Zenit St. Petersburg have reportedly targeted the 27-year-old midfielder of Juventus Simone Pepe, according to Juvenews.eu. The amount of the possible transfer remains undisclosed.

According to the source, the idea to sign Pepe for Zenit belonged to the head coach of the Russian club Luciano Spalletti.

It has been reported earlier that Zenit were allegedly ready to offer for €13 million for the Italian midfielder.

Simone Pepe has spent last season at Juve on loan from Udinese. The Bianconeri have paid €2.6 million to the Friulian club, also obtaining the priority right to sign the player for €7.5 million.
