Steven Defour’s agent: At Lokomotiv my client will earn €2m a year

Today, the 23-year-old midfielder of Standard Liege Steven Defour and his agent Paul Stefani have meet representatives of Lokomotiv Moscow and have discussed the player’s possible move to Russia.

«There really is an interest from the Russian and Defour would like to try himself in such a big club.

«Now Steven would like to look at the city and the training ground. Then we will continue the discussion of the contract’s details. According to our information, he will earn up to €2 million per year in Moscow», Stefani stated in an interview with Sovetsky Sport.

Speaking about earlier interest from another Russian club, Spartak Moscow, the Belgian’s agent confirmed the information, but insisted no other offers existed at the moment: «Yes, Spartak also enquired about Steven, however, for today we have only one option – with Lokomotiv».
