Malik Fathi returns to Moscow from Mainz this week

German defender Malik Fathi, whose conract belongs to Spartak, spent 2010-2011 season at Mainz 05 on loan. According to the loan agreement, he must return to Spartak training camp in early July, reported Sport-Express with a reference to the player’s agent.

The 27-year-old player’s contract with Spartak is valid until March 2012.

Meanwhile, Hertha BSC are said to be interested in Fathi.

The player spent 19 games in the Bundesliga last season.
