Euroleague: CSKA to face Panathinaikos in the Final Four

Russian club CSKA Moscow will face Greek outfit Panathinaikos in the Euroleague semi-finals – a rematch of the 2007 and 2009 European competition finals.

Meanwhile, Spanish giants Barcelona have been drawn against another Greek team, Olympiacos.

CSKA qualified to the Final Four after beating Bilbao Basket 71-73 in the series decider, while Panathinaikos knocked out Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv with an 86-85 fifth series game win.

CSKA and Panathinaikos are the most successful European clubs of recent years, having won five of the last six Euroleague titles between them
