Zalgiris owner: Sonny Weems is going nowhere

Zalgiris Kaunas owner Vladimir Romanov insists that American forward Sonny Weems will stay at the Lithuanian club despite speculation of his possible return to the NBA.

Earlier the 25-year-old American wrote in his blog that he would return to the NBA if Zalgiris doesn’t beat Barcelona in the forthcoming fixture.

«I don’t know what Weems wrote, but he has a contract with Zalgiris and he will have to honour it, so he is not going anywhere.»
