Andrey Kirilenko breaks nose during PBL game
CSKA Moscow forward Andrey Kirilenko got injured during the game of the Russian BEKO PBL against Krasnye Krylia Samara (88:73). In the 7th minute of the first quarter CSKA’s leader fell awkwardly and landed on his face, slashing his left eyebrow and fracturing his nose, the club’s official website reported.
Upon the return to Moscow Kirilenko was immediately taken to GMS Clinic, where he underwent a reduction of nose fracture under general anesthesia. According to CSKA spokesman Nikolay Tsynkevich, Kirilenko will definitely miss the next Euroleague game against Zalgiris. The MRI examination of his shoulder and elbow is scheduled for Monday.
