Kirilenko voted Euroleague’s MVP in October

According to the Euroleague’s official site, CSKA Moscow forward Andrey Kirilenko was named the tournament’s most valuable player in October.

This award isn’t based on statistics, but rather on the contribution the player made to his team’s victories.

CSKA played two games in October, winning both. In the game against Zalgiris (74:87) Kirilenko scored 17 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 block shots. In the match against Bamberg (94:74) the forward chalked up 12 points before half-time already and added 6 assists, 4 rebounds and a block shot to his statistics in just 22 minutes.

In October’s Euroleague matches Kirilenko had a game shots percentage of 67 (and 66 for three-point shots).
