Krasnye Krylia Samara release DeJuan Blair after five weeks

Krasnye Krylia Samara and DeJuan Blair decided not to renew the short-term contract, which expired at the end of the qualifying rounds of VTB United League and FIBA EuroChallenge Cup. According to the official club’s website, the San Antonio Spurs’ player now returns to the United States.

Though the club officially thanked Blair for his contribution, the head coach Sergei Bazarevich hinted on some kind of conflict with Blair.

«It was clear that inviting such a player implies some risk. Well, we’re not the only team to sign a player during the lockout and face problems then. I heard that in Zalgiris they also suffer», Bazarevich said as quoted by Sport-Express.
