JR Holden will not play for Russia at EuroBasket

Russia’s American-born point guard John Robert Holden will not take part in the forthcoming European championship. This was announced by the team’s head coach David Blatt after training session.

«This is J.R.’s decision. We understand it and accept it,» stated Blatta in an interview to RIA Novosti.

Earlier Holden announced his intention to retire after the end of 2010-11 season, but promised Blatt to think over his possible performance at EuroBasket.
