Jan Kopecky to be Vitaly Petrov’s teammate at Race of Champions

Skoda’s factory driver Jan Kopecky will become the teammate of the Russian Lotus Renault GP pilot Vitaly Petrov in the Race of Champions, which shall be held in Dusseldorf in early December.

«Initially, we expected that there will be an entirely Russian team in the Race of Champions – but for some insuperable reasons we were unable to realize that intention this year. Therefore, we are very glad that Vitaly will be accompanied by Jan Kopecky – an excellent pilot whom we know from his performances at the Rally of Russia in Vyborg.

«I have no doubt that the Slavic team will be able to get a good result in its debut year at the Race of Champions,» Kosachenko said as quoted by Petrov’s press service.
