Who is Chat
Hello everybody I'm back for the next blog. Ok I've had some requests that I need to write more often, so I will try and write every 5-7 days. The play-offs start at the end of this month and before you know it, the season will be over. So I want you to be able to know me a little bit.
Who is Chat...
Chat is a very laid-back person. And what I mean by that is that I'm a calm person. Chat is a loyal person. For example when I'm in the USA, I still keep it real and hang out with the guys I grew up with before I got to this point of my life. You have some people who make it professionally and forget where they came from. While I'm overseas playing, they are always giving me support and checking on me and my family. Chat is a quiet but funny person. I'm a person who does more thinking than talking, my father was like that so I guess it comes from him. So most of the time people think I'm angry or mad all the time because I don't talk all the time but that's just me. When your a playmaker your supposed to be the coach on the court and talk all the time and that's one thing that was and still little hard for me just because I'm not a talkative person like that. I like to lead by example, I don't like to tell players what to do. I just try to show that I'm playing to win and hope they follow my lead.
Summertime
When the long seasons are over, you can imagine how good it feels to get home. I'm from Dallas, Texas, but me and my wife Erica and my son Dejuan live in South Texas, 20 minutes from Mexico. I went to college there and Erica is from there. She is a Mexican American, she's from Texas but her grandparents are from Mexico. Usually when I get back to the States I will stop in Dallas and pick up one of my cars that I let my father keep while I'm overseas. I will visit my family and friends that live in Dallas for about 2 days and then drive 8 hours to my home. Most of the time I'm relaxing and flying family and friends to come to see me because we have a beach called South Padre Island that's an hour away from our house. I stay away from basketball for awhile cause I play for 10 months so I get tired of it. I try to be with my son as much as I can because Erica is usually with him everyday all day. So I like to give her some rest also. Well gotta go because my eyes are hurting from looking at this screen so long... haha. Be patient with me please I will start answering some questions.
