Houston Rockets’ forward Chase Budinger confirmed the reports about his forthcoming signing of contract with Russian BEKO PBL club Lokomotiv-Kuban from Krasnodar.
«Its official! Im off to russia to play bball. Papers in and all,» Budinger wrote on Twitter.
Lokomotive general manager Andrey Vedishchev also revealed the club is close to a deal with Budinger and one more NBA player.
«We are close to signing an agreement with Chase Budinger and hope it will happen soon. We plan to strengthen the squad with one more player. For now I can’t reveal his name, but he’s an NBA player,» Vedishchev said as quoted by RIA Novosti.
Last season, Budinger took part in 78 matches in the NBA, scoring an average of 9.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
