Mascot • Striker

The mascot chosen by the US public for USA '94 was a dog, which is a common US pet animal. Striker wore the red, white and blue US colors with the words "USA 94".

Poster

New York artist Peter Max's career was peaking at the time he was chosen to create a poster for the 1994 tournament. Space was again a theme, with the floating footballer putting a ball into orbit. This, the artist said, was to represent the universal appeal of the sport.

Ball • Questra

FIFA World Cup USA, 1994, official ball which was enveloped in a layer of polystyrene foam.

This not only made it more waterproof but allowed the ball greater acceleration when kicked. The new game ball felt softer to the touch. Improved ball control and higher velocity during play.

The ball’s design represents space technology, high velocity rockets and America’s “quest for the stars.”
