Rubin goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis makes a blunder resulting in an odd goal

During the Russian Premier League game against FC Krasnodar Rubin Kazan goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis has made a mistake which resulted in an early goal for his team’s opponents.

The 23-year-old Lithuanian has been included into the match squad after a long period spent behind the back of Rubin’s first-choice goalkeeper Sergey Ryzhikov. However, in the 10th minute Arlauskis failed to manage a back pass from his own defender Roman Sharonov properly and let the ball into the net past his feet.

The match has also been remarkable for two penalty shots missed by Rubin’s captain Christian Noboa. The first one he sent wide shortly after the goal let in by Arlauskis, while the second one was stopped by Krasnodar goalkeeper Yevgeny Gorodov but added into the net by Gokdeniz Karadeniz.

Rubin Kazan went on to win the game 2:1.
