Spartak star Patrick Beverley named this season’s Eurocup MVP

Spartak St. Petersburg point guard Patrick Beverley has been voted the Most Valuable Player in this season’s Eurocup competition after leading his side to the finals.

The 23-year-old American point guard, who briefly played for the Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League of 2010, averaged 13.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game in Europe this season.

Spartak’s Slovenian coach Jure Zdovc was named Eurocup Coach of the Year after his team won 13 out 14 games and reached the Final Four.

The Red-Whites will face BK Khimki in semi-final, while Valencia Basket will fight Lithuanian outfit Lietuvos Rytas for a place in the Final.
