FIFA to provide Russia with a $700-million budget for World Cup 2018
Football’s main governing body FIFA has allocated Russia with a budget of $699 million to host the 2018 World Cup, the Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko said on Wednesday.
«FIFA has provided $699 million, that’s including the year 2018. For the 2010 World Cup approximately the same amount was granted,» Mutko told R-Sport.
The fee will cover various operational costs, such as transport and tourist and media facilities, but won’t be used to fund any infrastructural developments, he added.
