Russian hockey player Fokin signs for a New Zealand club

Russian-born hockey player Maxim Fokin has become the first professional hockey player from Russia to move to New Zealand.

Fokin, who previously played in the Swedish league, signed for the NZ club the Red Devils, the team’s official website states.

In the past Fokin also played hockey in Turkey, even captaining the junior side during the World Cup.
