Zenit make €6 million bid for Poland captain Blaszczykowski

Russian champions Zenit St. Petersburg have offered €6 million to Borussia Dortmund in exchange for the Polish midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski, Interia.pl reports.

Press reports from Germany earlier suggested that the Bundesliga club will not consider bids for the 26-year-old midfielder because of a long-term injury to another key player, Mario Goetze.

Still, Polish national team captain’s contract with Dortmund runs out in the summer of 2013, so the German outfit may be tempted to sell the midfielder, given the right price.
