Bilyaletdinov officially signs for Spartak Moscow

Spartak Moscow have completed the signing of Russian midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov from the English Premier League club Everton.

The 26-year-old Russian international moved to Moscow in a deal that is thought to be worth around £5 million.

The former Lokomotiv Moscow player put the pen to paper along with the Red-and-Whites’ boss Valery Karpin at a hotel in Spain, where the Russian side are based during their midseason preparations.

«I won’t deny that I am happy to complete the transfer and become a member of the Spartak team. Now I want to focus on helping my new club win trophies and entertain the fans,» said the player in a statement to the club’s official website.

«My shirt number is probably going to be 25,» added the midfielder on his Twitter page.
