Zenit fined €50,000 for fireworks during Champions League games, no stadium ban imposed

According to the information that became available to Sports.ru, UEFA Disciplinary Committee decided to fine Zenit St. Petersburg €50,000.

The sanctions will be imposed on the Russian club based on two home matches in the Champions League – against Shakhtar Donetsk (1:0) and APOEL (0:0). The match against the latter club was broken off twice due to the thick fog caused by the use of fireworks by Zenit fans.

No further penalties apart from the fine will be imposed on the club.
