New Kazan stadium to be commissioned in December 2012

The final commissioning dates of the football stadium in Kazan, currently constructed for Rubin, became known. The new 45,000-seater should be completed by the end of next year.

«The construction is planned to be completed in December 2012. We decided not to build a retractable roof above the stadium, as it would increase the construction costs. The grass on the pitch will be natural, not artificial,» Vladimir Kudryashev, Tatarstan vice-minister for construction, architecture, and housing, said to RIA Novosti.
