Survivor Galimov has 80 percent of body burnt, injuries almost fatal

The doctors at the nearby Solovyov Hospital, where the victims of the Yaroslavl Yak-42 crash were taken, said that one of the two survivors, the team’s forward Alexander Galimov, is in critical condition.

«Galimov has eighty-percent burns. He underwent a surgery and will require several more. The flight engineer Sizov has 15 percent of his body burnt and a broken hip», said Alexander Degtyarev, chief physician of the hospital, to Komsomolskaya pravda.

Hospital’s neurosurgeon Dmitry Plyuta said that Galimov’s body burns are practically incompatible with life, but the doctors will continue to do everything possible to save him.
